Anti-Drug Efforts Along US-Canada Border Seen As New Drug War.  ’s CTV (11/26) reported, “There's more than one war that the Americans are fighting these days.  Aside from and , there's 's war on drugs. It isn't being fought on the - border nor is it being fought with the Colombian drug cartels.  This new drug war is being fought along the trenches of the Canada-U.S. border -- mostly along a small stretch of land between B.C. and Washington State .”  Commenting on “Operation Sweet Tooth,” Dave Jacobson, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's assistant country attaché in Ottawa, said, “‘It (Ecstasy) was actually being manufactured here (in ).   Once it was manufactured, the Vietnamese-Canadian and American components of this distribution network...would get it in either through passenger cars, secreted in passenger cars...It was going in commercial trucks many times...’”
