For immediate release July 26, 2006
The Drug Prevention Network of Canada today affiliated with EURAD [Europe Against Drugs] in addition to the previous affiliations with the National Drug Prevention Alliance of the and the Drug Prevention Network of America including South America and
Central America
[RIPRED].
“The DPNC is growing by leaps and bounds because many Canadians are in need of a positive voice for drug treatment, prevention and enforcement rather than enabling drug addiction and legalization” says Randy White, President of the Drug Prevention Network of Canada.
“These organizations and many others are meeting in London, England on August 5 through 10, 2006 to discuss world policy in preparation for the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on Drugs in 2008 and we know that world wide the concentration will be on treatment, prevention and enforcement” Said Vancouver-based Dr. Colin Mangham, DPNC’s National Direction of Research.
“We want the new government of Canada to know that there is a very large part of our Canadian society and people world wide that want a practical approach to drug addiction, not unproven, agenda-based programs that fail to get the addicted off drugs” says White
“The Drug Prevention Network of Canada provides accurate and scientifically validated information to assist Canadians in making well informed decisions in the areas of prevention, treatment and education when considering the use and abuse of substances, and we are fast becoming known world-wide as a leader in the drug policy debate in Canada” concluded Ben Jenkins, DPNC’s Vice President in Halifax.
