FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Tuesday December 13th, 2005
“The Drug Prevention Network of Canada has now begun to aggressively network and promote its principles” says Interim President Ben Jenkins of Halifax, a founding member of the network.
The DPNC is working with like minded people and organizations who subscribe to the following principles:
± Opposing the legalization of drugs
± Promoting a healthy lifestyle – free of drugs
± Advocating no use of illegal drugs and no abuse of legal drugs
± supporting United Nations Conventions and Treaties concerning drugs and psycho tropic substances
“Canada needs to refocus its resources on principles like those of the Drug Prevention Network of Canada rather than accommodating illegal drug use through injection sites and heroin distribution programs” Said Vice President George Glover of London, Ontario. “As the only organization of our kind, we are dedicated to being the unique voice for responsible drug policy in Canada” concluded Glover.
“The Drug Prevention Network of Canada is currently searching for a President who will lead our organization and complete our plans to affiliate with similar organizations in South America, Central America, the United States and the United Kingdom” said interim President Ben Jenkins.
